It takes some abuse for the final drive bearing to fail...Long-term bend in the hub or wheel.

Hey I have a 2013 B8.5 rs5 and I seen your video on UA-cam replacing the bearings on the front diff do you know if your B8 rs5 has the same trans as my car? I’m in the United States it has a 7 speed ob5 dl501. I’m looking to replace the same bearings on the front differential but my local dealership said they do not list the parts break down for the differential. Is there some type of info that you have that they do not? I’d really like to get these bearings changed as it has the same amount of slip as your video showed. Let me know!

Hey rmprojects, did you have any other symptoms besides the noise? I have the same gearbox in an A6 3.0tfsi. It is not really noisy but it gives vibrations and grabbing the propshaft I have a lot of play in the box. Wondering if that is similar to your issues?
